Private Lesson Packages and Buddy Support
Challenge Aspen, in partnership with the Aspen Skiing Company is able to provide those with disabilities private lesson packages at a discounted rate.
Lesson & Buddy Packages
Lesson Packages:
All private lesson packages include an Aspen Skiing Company adaptive certified instructor, rental and adaptive equipment, and lift ticket(s).
Full Day Package l $620
Half Day Package l $425
Buddy Packages:
All buddy packages include discount lift ticket(s) and discounted rental equipment. To qualify for buddy support, participants must be an advanced skier or rider.

***Please Note: We have a limited number of adaptive instructors especially during peak season. Please try to make your reservation as soon as possible, reservations are taken on a first come, first serve basis. Last minute requests are extremely difficult to accommodate, Challenge Aspen’s Reservation and Program Coordinators will do their best to book every request***
***Requests for Winter Break must be submitted before November 30th to ensure booking***
SCHOLARSHIPS
Challenge Aspen, in partnership with the Aspen Skiing Company is able to provide those with disabilities private lesson packages at a discounted rate. Our private full and half day lesson packages include a PSIA Adaptive Certified Instructor, all equipment and a lift ticket, and in some cases an adaptive assistant. We also have trained adaptive assistants that can accompany an individual that skis or snowboards at the minimum of a level 7 or above (view levels here), by offering buddy-supported skiing for full or half days. The adaptive assistants are not certified to instruct, but are experienced skiers and snowboarders and possess the training needed to assist those with disabilities.
Challenge Aspen has never denied a participant due to financial need. In this spirit, for those that are in need, we have increased our available scholarship (Adventure Awards) funds substantially. The amount of Adventure Award will be based on annual household income, less participants medical expenses.
At Challenge Aspen, we welcome family members to join our adaptive lessons. We encourage family participation; yet want to ensure that the instruction is clearly for the adaptive participant only. Any family member joining a lesson will simply be observing and enjoying the camaraderie. A maximum of three additional family members are allowed to join any Challenge Aspen lesson.
Challenge Aspen Pros will focus on the enjoyment and improvement of the adaptive student, so please understand that if the Pro feels the additional family members in the lesson are taking away from the participants best possible experience, they may request one on one time with the student.
If a family member is seeking instruction, they may join or reserve a group lesson (of up to 5 people) through Aspen Skiing Company (ASC) and receive the advanced purchase price through Challenge Aspen.
All Challenge Aspen lessons are an exceptional value and are taught by Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) certified instructors. Each lesson includes an instructor, a lift ticket for the participant, and any necessary rental equipment required for participation in the lesson.
