Veteran Programs

The CAMO program is designed to empower and uplift veterans and active-duty armed forces members with service-connected disabilities through the camaraderie and shared experience of outdoor recreation. We invite our participants to beautiful Aspen/Snowmass, nestled in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. Here, we provide top tier adaptive instruction for a diverse range of exciting outdoor activities, tailored to individual abilities. We integrate health and wellness breakout sessions, dedicated time for relaxation, and shared meals to foster connections.

CAMO is not just an adventure; it is a life-changing experience that enables veterans and active-duty armed forces members to discover new possibilities, refresh their mindset, and embrace all that life has to offer. Participation in CAMO takes place in 3 different ways – Western Slope Socials, Rocky Mountain Retreats, and Partner Programs. Learn more by following the links below or contacting a staff member at camo@challengeaspen.org or call (970) 923-0578.

CAMO Programs are provided free, or heavily subsidized, by generous private donations, grants, and an Adaptive Sports Grant from the United States Department of Veteran Affairs.
