The Latest at Challenge Aspen

Winter Adaptive Recreation
Challenge Aspen was thrilled to once again host the Tennessee School for the Blind and Governor Morehead School senior trip. It was an unforgettable week filled with adventure, resilience, and joy as the soon-to-be graduates took on the slopes with Challenge Aspen!

Challenge Aspen Military Opportunities Program

The Challenge Aspen Military Opportunities program kicked off its winter season with the Beginner Snow Sports Retreat, where veterans with disabilities from across the country gathered at Snowmass for a week of professional adaptive ski/snowboard lessons, complemented with yoga classes, breathe work and mindfulness activities. This group is starting 2024 refreshed, renewed, and ready to take on the world, and we hope you are too.

Community Programming

The only thing that brings us more joy than sharing our love for snowsports is welcoming new faces to the Challenge Aspen community, which is why we are excited to announce the launch of a new learn to ski/snowboard program in addition to the long-running 8-week locals ski/snowboard program where athletes train and compete in Special Olympics and NASTAR Nationals.

Registration for this year’s lesson series has closed, but if your student or child would like to participate in this program next year, please contact Callie: cdickson@challengeaspen.org.

Western Slope Socials

Are you a Colorado-based veteran with service-connected disability?

Join us for Western Slope Socials Winter Sports weekend February 23-25! Western Slope Socials are drop-in, weekend adaptive recreation offerings at an extremely subsidized rate.
