CAMO Coordinator

Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, I never imagined myself living in the Rocky Mountains. The journey that led me to the Roaring Fork Valley started when I retired from the United States Air Force. After moving here from Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico, I received an email from Special Operations Command about a CAMO retreat happening in Snowmass, CO. I Immediately RSVP’ed to the retreat because I lived only 30 minutes down valley at the time. That retreat allowed me to recognize that despite my disabilities, I was able to persevere. Two years later I am a part of an excellent and supportive team with the opportunity to give back to my fellow veterans to offer them the same experience I was given.

My favorite outdoor activity is…

snowboarding, which allows me to gain peace of mind and center myself from the reduced noise that snow provides during my favorite season

If I were an animal, I would be…

a Flying Squirrel

I’m proud of overcoming my fear of…

explosions which began during a deployment overseas, and still get out and snowboard.
