Connection – June 2024
Challenge Aspen’s Annual Gala Sunday, July 21 6 pm Buttermilk Mountain Lodge
In a world that is quick to tell people with disabilities what they cannot do, we are on a mission to help people realize what they can do. Our adaptive programs allow people define their own limits, to push the envelope if they want to, and to build the type of confidence and belief in oneself that can move mountains.
July 21st we invite you to come together to celebrate, to connect, and to challenge what you thought was possible at this year’s annual gala. This event raises mission-critical funds that make Challenge Aspen’s year-round adaptive recreation programs possible.
The evening will include: Interactive adaptive experiences Dinner Live auction Paddle raise An open dance floor and music by local favorite, “A Band Called Alexis”.

Community
July marks the start of disability pride month, which honors the lived experiences of disabled people and celebrates the history of the landmark civil rights movement that led to the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act on July 26, 1990.
This month is also a time for the disability community to come together, proudly embrace their disabilities as integral parts of their identities, and continue to advocate for equal rights and opportunities.
