Erin
Loftus

Program Services Manager

After graduating from Penn State University, I looked for work in the adaptive recreation world and joined the Challenge Aspen team as an Apprentice Pro. Since then, I have held many different positions in the organization including Ski Pro, Volunteer, Solemates team member, Summer Program Facilitator, prior to my current role as Program Services Manager. I chose to work in adaptive rec. because I wasn’t exposed much to the outdoors until college, and once I was, I noticed that I was often the only female, which made me realize that if I had a hard time getting outside, then we must be missing a large population of people who would benefit from the outdoors! My first-time backpacking was when I was 22 years old and I led the trip, since then I have tried to learn as much as I can about outdoor recreation and be outside as much as possible.

If I were an animal, I would be…
