Thank you for your interest in Challenge Aspen’s Adventure Awards Program for the 2019/2020 season. Challenge Aspen offers awards twice a year, in the summer and winter seasons. You must apply each season in order to be eligible for an award for that season. Applying for an award or receiving an award in the past does not guarantee that you will receive an award this season. Awards are based on financial need. Proof of household (most recent tax returns) is required at time of application. Challenge Aspen will deduct participant medical expenses from your total household income to determine you award level. You will be notified upon review of your application request, at which time we ask that you take responsibility for registering as early as possible!
Challenge Aspen strives to make our activities accessible to as many participants as possible. We fundraise year-round to provide opportunities for all. Challenge Aspen’s program prices, by default, include significant discounts. We ask that you consider this when requesting an award, assisting us in our goal to provide possibilities for as many of those with disabilities as possible. Thank you!
ADVENTURE AWARD APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED ON A ROLLING BASIS HOWEVER, THE MAJORITY OF FUNDS ARE AWARDED TO THOSE APPLYING ON OR BEFORE November 15th (Winter) and June 1st (Summer).
TESTIMONIALS FROM WINTER ADVENTURE AWARDS RECIPIENTS
“Thank you for the scholarship to let me go out to snowboard this season. Every time that I am on my snowboard, I feel free as a bird. When I am out on the hill with my friends having fun, my disability disappears.”
“I wanted to thank you all for that wonderful scholarship! Bridget, my guide, and Kathy, my instructor that I had during my exciting vacation, were both perfect. I could not have done it without all your help!”
“I enjoyed skiing with Challenge Aspen volunteers and instructors on my recent visit in January 2016. I need Challenge Aspen’s help to continue skiing and hope I can continue despite my limitations.”
“Through your organization and the employees, interns and volunteers that give their time and energy; you offer so much for so many. For those of us with physical challenges, the gift of movement is such a treasure. What a blessing that I received a scholarship to ski this past winter.”
“How do you begin to say thank you to someone who makes it possible for your special needs son to experience the best weeks of his year?”
