RECREATION AND SPECIAL OLYMPICS
At Challenge Aspen, we believe that access, participation and community integration are the keys to healing and establishing rewarding lives for those with disabilities. We welcome and encourage any individuals with a physical and/or cognitive disability to enroll in our recreational and competition Locals Program, regardless of gender or age. All programs take place on Snowmass Mountain. Participants must be able to ski independently, but will be paired one-on-one, with a trained buddy throughout the season.
Challenge Aspen participates in Special Olympics and will train those interested in racing. We recognize that not everyone wants to race, but might rather enjoy just being on the mountain enjoying their experience without competition in mind. Either way, we’re here to make it happen!
Participants may choose to ski/ride on Thursdays and Saturdays. If this option is chosen the participant must also upgrade the included pass, so they can ski/ride for two days. Programs are available for school age and adult participants.
