Challenge Aspen Chris Bove Memorial Uphill – This uphill event honors the memory of Chris Bove, a former ski instructor and supporter of Challenge Aspen, who passed away on the eve of the event in 2007. The uphill raises money for a scholarship in Chris’ name so that local participants have the opportunity to ski for a season.
Outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and ability levels are encouraged to tackle the 1,368-vertical-gain up Snowmass Mountain. Anything goes for the race: snowshoes, stabilizers or telemark skis. All participants are invited to the post-race celebration at Elk Camp for a pancake breakfast & prize giveaways.
It will begin at Base Village and summits at Elk Camp highlighting Ski Co’s beautiful restaurant.
